Dingwall Tesco is celebrating neurodiversity week by highlighting the things they are doing to support neurodivergent and disabled customers.

They have shared how in the last year, the superstore has introduced sensory borrow bags for customers, available from the customer service desk.

Sunflower lanyards that indicate a hidden disability are also available from the Dingwall Tesco customer service desk.

The superstore also celebrates National Autism Awareness week, as well as having extended quiet hour sessions for the store.

Dingwall Tesco community champion, Michelle Mackay said: "We are Disability Confident Leaders, recognising that not all disabilities are visible – some are hidden. So, let's celebrate diversity and inclusion together, to make sure that everyone's welcome.

"We treat everyone fairly and with respect; we do our best to create a sense of belonging by valuing the individuality and uniqueness of our colleagues and our customers.

"Diversity and inclusion has always been at the heart of Tesco. It is embedded in our values: we treat people how they want to be treated. We always want our colleagues and customers to feel they can be themselves at work and in store and we are committed to helping everyone be at their best.

"All our staff have been provided with extensive training to offer 'everyone an extra little help' whilst shopping in our store, whether it is a quiet hour, assistance at the checkout or help with your shopping we are always happy to help."
