Dingwall Leisure Centre due to reopen

The centre is set to reopen this afternoon after a two-day closure.

The swimming pool which forms part of the busy sports and fitness hub closed to the public on Monday for, at that time, unspecified reasons.

Then yesterday morning a social media post revealed the entire centre had been closed to the public, with no word on exactly when it might reopen.

In an update this morning centre bosses said facilities would reopen from 1pm.

Leisure centre operators High Life Highland gave no further details on the exact nature of the "pest" invasion or whether closure was due to structural damage or public health fears.
