Dingwall Leisure Centre is now fully closed to customers.

The swimming pool was closed yesterday for unspecified reasons.

This morning a social media from Dingwall Leisure Centre stated: "The Dingwall Leisure Centre recently had an unavoidable situation with pests in the roofing area of the building, and as a result the building has had to be closed.

"Work is in progress and we hope to have it open as soon as possible.

"We apologise to customers for this closure and for any inconvenience it may cause."

No further details have been released so far about the nature of the pest problem including how much damage may have been caused.

The swimming pool part of the centre was closed yesterday with an announcement then simply citing "unforeseen circumstances" for the move.
