Dingwall and District Accordion and Fiddle Club returns to action after topping show to end 2023

POPULAR musical evenings hosted in Dingwall return to the town tonight (Wednesday).
Dingwall and District Accordion and Fiddle Club's star turn will be young Georgie MacLennan from Rogart with her band.
At the club's December meeting in the Legion Club, Ian Simpson as compered the final gathering of the year.
The guest artistes were InverRoss, a local group of talented musicians led by Donna Dingwall from Culbokie on accordion. Accompanying Donna were Christine Matheson and Frankie Fraser on accordions, Audrey MacDonald and Cath Neill on fiddles, Allen Shepherd on piano. Peter Angus and Mike Chisholm took turns on drums.

The group provided an excellent selection of tunes in a variety of tempos. There was great camaraderie within the group and great interaction with the audience.
Other accordion players were Susie Simpson, Cammie MacLean and Monica MacLean. Susie accompanied on piano and Martin MacLean on drums.
Condolences were sent to the family of Alex MacKenzie, Garve. Alex supported the club from the very first meeting in 1979.
Tonight's gathering is at The Legion in Dingwall at 7.30pm.
