Rounding people up for a 30-year school reunion is no easy task but Trevor Innes is on a mission to bring his Dingwall Academy classmates of 1992/93 back together.
The Dingwall dad-of-two’s been toiling away for months stalking old pals out on social media, and getting the venue, band, DJ, and nosh all in place, while also writing to local firms for raffle prizes for his reunion.
And it’s not the first time he’s pulled his class back under one roof, the 20th anniversary was also organised by him, for the same good cause, St Clement's School in Dingwall.
Trevor says feedback from his classmates has been good and he’s happy to put himself into the organising role.

One of his ex-school mates said jokingly maybe he’s addicted to school reunions.
But Trevor said there is more to it than that. He’s interested in how times have changed people and what they are doing with their lives.
He said: "I want to see how everyone is doing and what they have been getting up to over all these years. It’s really interesting to see the career routes we’ve all chosen or have fallen into. We’ve all sorts of professions coming to the reunion, including those from the oil industry, journalism, primary/secondary school teachers, a director of security company, architects, accountants, a chief of police, and mechanics, the list goes on.
“Hearing their stories will be fantastic and I’m so looking forward to having a great night. It’s brilliant too that we can be raising money for St Clement’s. I remember the joy it gave to the kids when we made our donation following the last school reunion 10 years ago. It was so inspirational and I really want to help them again this time around.”
Trevor said it was all so different back when the class was at school as there was no Facebook or mobile phones.
He added: “Instead of all the gadgets I see my kids using now to keep in touch, we used to have to meet at the park or people’s houses, it was at Craig Road in our younger days, and then when we were older places like the Drouthy Duck and the Viking Bar Dingwall were our hang outs.Times have changes and that’s why I think it’s so important that we never lose touch with our old friends."
The school class reunion is taking place on the evening of Saturday September 9 at the Cottage Bar, Maryburgh, with music from Paul Oparka and his band plus a disco which will play tunes from 1992/93.
