THE father of an Easter Ross man posted missing almost three months ago is appealing to the outdoors and bushcrafter community to help spread the word about him.

Finn Creaney (32), from the Tain area, was reported missing on Monday, March 28.

He was last seen around 2.15pm on Friday, March 25 at Altnaharra in Sutherland near Loch Naver.

Extensive searches which initially involved mountain rescue teams, family, friends and volunteers have not turned up a trace of Finn, who is married and has a child.

His father, Mark Creaney, has issued a fresh appeal for help in tracing him.

He posted: "My son Finn Creaney went missing after starting a hike almost three months ago. He is a keen outdoorsman and bushcrafter. He took only minimal items (water bottle, knife and blanket poncho ) on what was to be a three-day hike.

"as part of the wider bushcraft/outdoor community I hope folk will share this was widely as you can. Help bring him home."

A Search for Finn Creaney Facebook page has also been set up while volunteers and well-wishers have been conducting regular searches of areas of might have passed.
