Running alongside the event, and in conjunction with the DWP and the Highland Council’s Employability team, there will be a “virtual” job fair with all vacancies being posted live and online as the day progresses.

Chair of the council’s economy and infrastructure committee. Cllr Ken Gowans is encouraging businesses and anyone looking for employment to get along. He said: “You may be considering a change in career, thinking about returning to work after a break, or looking for your first job. This Job Fair is a great opportunity to bring people looking for part-time or full-time work face to face with businesses looking for staff.

He added: “Members of our employability service will be available on the day to offer support to both the public and businesses. It’s all about being proactive in filling vacancies and preparing for what we hope will be a very busy season in 2023. I hope as many people as possible take up this opportunity.”
