FERRY services between Stornoway and Ullapool are being disrupted due to port staff testing positive due to Covid-19.

CalMac have announced that the 10.30am ferry from Ullapool has been cancelled, and a 12pm service will combine the two services that were expected to depart from Stornoway at 7am and 2pm.

Arrival time in Ullapool is expected at 2.30pm however, no earlier bus will be provided to meet the passengers earlier, with the Citylink bus departing from the Ross-shire village at 4.50pm.

A statement on the CalMac website said: "All customers with bookings for this sailing will be contacted regarding potential alternatives.

"We recognise that amending a service can be very challenging for our customers and the communities we serve and apologise for the disruption this will cause."

Forecast northerly winds and associated sea conditions are also due to disrupt sailings on Wednesday and Thursday, with CalMac warning of possible cancellation or disruption at short notice.
