A WESTER Ross shinty club has come up with a merch winner in its latest offering which takes full account of the vagaries of the Highland weather.

While Ross-shire residents have been blessed with a late summer heatwave in recent days, no one is under any illusions of the changeable conditions that are part and parcel of living in the Highlands.

The four seasons in one day scenario is familiar to most!

Kinlochshiel Shinty Club this week sounded out interest in a sturdy, branded brolly capable of withstanding the worst of the weather.

And the idea has immediately scored with fans.

A club admin posted: "I have had a lot of requests for Kinlochshiel umbrellas especially after that horrendous weather we had for the Strathdearn Cup Final.

"Please comment below if you would like to purchase one so i can gauge interest as to how many to buy.

"Great Xmas present."

The club is based in Rèaraig, Balmacara and hardy players and fans alike are no strangers to a bit of rain.

The post has been instantly greeted with a flurry of solid requests and orders for the brolly...
