Gairloch and wider Wester Ross area brought into focus by new booklets

Hard-working volunteers have been hailed for pulling together a series of informative booklets delving into the rich past of Gairloch and its surrounding areas.

They are available from Gairloch Museum shop for £4 and can also be posted out.

They include: Exploring the Road to the Lighthouse: Smithstown to Melvaig and Beyond; Exploring Gairloch on Foot: Flowerdale, Inchgowan, Charleston, the harbour, Achadesdale, Achtercairn and Strath.

There are also titles covering Kinlochewe, Laide, Poolewe and Aultbea amongst others.
