A BLACK cafe is closing until further notice after a member of staff tested positive for Covid-19.

Fortrose Cafe said a member of kitchen staff had tested positive and the cafe will remain closed to allow other kitchen staff members – who are not fully vaccinated and were in close contact – to self-isolate.

It has informed Test and Protect.

The cafe said it would update customers via its Facebook page on its planned reopening.

It added: "If you have any queries or concerns and would like to talk to us please email on the first instance as our phones will not be manned fortrosecafe@gmail.com

"Sorry for any inconvenience caused."

The cafe had earlier this week announced it was closing after a "possible" Covid case, stating that the wellbeing of the public and its staff was of paramount importance.

Sutor Creek in Cromarty also earlier this week announced it was closing temporarily due to a team member testing positive.
