A Muir of Ord care home resident has celebrated his 101st birthday.

James Bowles, better known as Jimmy, marked the milestone occasion with family, fellow residents and staff at Urray House.

A keen golfer, Jimmy was presented with a golf themed cake made by Urray House cook Elspeth Mackay.

Urray House manager William Narvaez said: “It was a simple celebration with some of Jimmy’s closest family members and his many friends at Urray House. His family sent pictures of his birthday celebration to his relatives in Canada so that they could also share his special day. Jimmy is a much loved member of the Urray House family and we made sure he was well spoiled. He was particularly chuffed with his personalised cake.”
