Keith Watson is looking for Ross County to continue their strong home form against Livingston on Wednesday night.

The Staggies have only lost one of their last seven matches in Dingwall, thanks to a 97th minute winner from Celtic in December, but have not yet beaten Livingston this season.

Most recently, the Lions knocked a much-changed County side out of the Scottish Cup, but club captain Watson says the Dingwall outfit will fancy their chances when the sides clash again.

"We don't like getting beaten," he insisted.

"We will be fully prepared for Livingston coming up here. We definitely know how big it is, we know that if we win we can go above them on goal difference. We want to try and climb that table and Wednesday's game is a big one for us to do that.

"We had a lot of injuries and players missing last time, but the players that came in battled away well, and I think they were a bit unlucky.

"We dominated a lot of the second half, but we've been on good home form up here. Celtic is the only team to beat us in the last seven home games, so we really fancy our chances. We feel like we can beat anybody up here.

"It's going to be a really difficult game, they're on a good run of form – but so are we.

"We've picked up good points against Rangers and Aberdeen, and I think against Dundee after we went one down we really turned it around and looked strong.

"Especially in the home game up here, we let Livingston away with one. It was a bit of a smash and grab when they beat us last time, but we're really looking forward to the game and we fancy our chances going into it."

In both league matches between Livi and Ross County so far this season, a late goal has denied Ross County points.

At home, a stoppage time Tom Parkes strike claimed a win for David Martindale's side, and when County went on the road just before Christmas Ayo Obileye's 89th minute equaliser held them to a draw.

Those are not the only times County have conceded late in matches, with setbacks coming towards the end far more often than they would like this season – instances against Hearts and Dundee United also come to mind.

Ross County have conceded 20 goals in the second half of league matches this season, eight of which have come in the last 10 minutes.

It is a trend, then, that Watson is keen to stamp out sooner rather than later.

"It's always disappointing losing, and especially to late goals because there's not much you can do about it when they score so late," Watson said.

"We just need to make sure we're solid as a group, and manage the game better.

"I feel as if we could have picked up a few more points if we were switched on and our concentration was there maybe a wee bit more, but that's something we obviously need to cut out.

"Looking forward to Wednesday, I think the boys are up for it and looking sharp in training, so we're raring to go."
