Earlier this year Thomas won over the same distance at the Inverness Half Marathon, which led to him being called up for Scotland’s under-15 squad at the London Mini Marathon.

Thomas was not the only Ross County representation at Edinburgh, as he was joined by a number of clubmates.

Noah Carson was the first to set off, competing in the 10k race where he finished 12th overall in a time of 38:19.

Even in the 5k, Thomas was not the only Ross County athlete, and his brother Kaeden Thomas was not too far off the pace in 17:57. as he finished fifth.

Molly Carson also competed in the 5k, finishing behind the leading pack but coming sixth in the women’s 40 and over category in a time of 28:14.

Rounding off the club’s exploits in Scotland’s capital was young Caleb Carson, who completed the junior 2k race in 9:41.
