ROSS Sutherland Rugby Club put more than 100 points on the board for the second time in five outings as they thumped Lochaber 119-0 on Saturday.

The result capped a veritable feast of rugby in Invergordon last weekend with three of the side’s youth teams in action alongside the 1st XV.

In the first of the fixtures, the S1/2s went down 12-47 to Deeside while the U18s followed with a 24-18 win over Aberdeen Wanderers.

In the main event, the Stags notched another century, with Mike Gordon making up for his time out through injury by scoring four tries. The win leaves Ross Sutherland in second place in Caledonia 2 North behind a strong Deeside squad while Lochaber languish second from bottom.

On Sunday, the under 16s were in action against Moray Huntly, comfortably winning their National Bowl tie 85-10 with flying winger Lewis MacLeod bagging 43 of the points.

While there are no junior games this weekend, the 1st XV make the long trip to Shetland, who will be fizzing after losing 50-0 at home to Deeside on Saturday and who suffered a 105-5 loss to Ross Sutherland in the return fixture.
