Halkirk United and Thurso deducted points for fielding ineligible players in North Caledonian League

Halkirk United and Thurso have both been deducted points for fielding ineligible players in North Caledonian League Division One matches.

Both Caithness clubs lost points for matches which took place in May and June after the season had restarted after being suspended for five months.

Thurso were deducted four points for fielding ineligible players against Halkirk United on May 22 and against Orkney on May 29.

Halkirk United were deducted three points for fielding ineligible players against Orkney on June 5 which has put them bottom of the league.

Orkney have been awarded five points as a result of opposition clubs being deducted points.

Golspie Sutherland won North Caledonian League Division One yesterday after a 1–0 win in Orkney.
