Connie Ramsay switched sports because judo is not included in the Gold Coast Commonwealth Games in Australia, and Connie has her sights set on the games as a Scottish competitor.

The ex-Scottish and British judo champion, who is also a European and Commonwealth medallist at the sport, has amazed her coaches with her boxing skills.

She now boxes for Springhill Boxing Club in Shotts, Lanarkshire and trains with her friend and mentor Alex Arthur, a double world boxing champion.

Connie, who recently returned from a training session in New York, is currently in Poland competing for the Scottish team.

She coaches and mentors the St Andrews University judo team, as well as developing the skills of six-year-olds in Edinburgh.
