Saints are 10 points behind Loch Ness going into Saturday’s match but have two games in hand on the league leaders.

Defeat would be a massive blow to any ambition St Duthus had of winning the league for the first time.

But victory would reduce the gap to seven points with two games in hand on Loch Ness.

Invergordon will also look to keep chase on the league leaders when they face Inverness Athletic at the Recreation Grounds tomorrow afternoon.

The defending champions are 14 points behind Loch Ness, but have four games in hand on the table toppers.

They are in good form going into the clash having won eight of the last nine matches.

They also thrashed Thurso 7–0 in the North Caledonian Cup first round clash in Caithness last weekend to progress to the last eight.

Benjamin Kelly scored a hat-trick with Jack Mackay, Callum Murray, Andrew Miller and Stuart Leslie grabbing the other goals.

Meanwhile Alness United will be looking for their first win of 2023 when they welcome Thurso.

Elsewhere in the North Caledonian League, Bonar Bridge are set to face Clachnacuddin A in Inverness.

Halkirk United are scheduled to face Golspie Sutherland at Morrison Park and Nairn County A are set to host Fort William.

In the other North Caledonian Cup first round matches, Golspie Sutherland defeated Bonar Bridge 6–1 at King George V Park.

Nairn County A thrashed Clachnacuddin 5–0.
