The Inverness and District Football Association (IDFA) has been saved and will kick-off its summer season next month.
The IDFA was in danger of folding after it had failed to appoint five positions on its committee to enable the season to go ahead.
However the positions have been filled and the season can proceed as planned.
It has been confirmed 28 teams will take part in three divisions in the IDFA, which will include nine teams in the Premier Division, nine teams in the First Division and 10 teams in the Second Division.
Eight Ross-shire teams are taking part this season with Avoch, Black Rock Rovers, Contin and Maryburgh are playing in the Premier League.
Black Isle United, Conon Bridge and Invergordon Social Club are playing in the First Division.
Fortrose and Rosemarkie Union are playing in the Second Division.
Eight Ross-shire clubs did meet in Invergordon last week to hold talks about forming a breakaway Ross Amateur League.
But it was decided that it was not viable to do so this season.
In addition, four cup competitions will be played this summer, this includes the three divisional cups and the Association Cup, which are all to be straight knock out formats.
The IDFA season is set to begin on Monday, April 11.
It has also been confirmed, 24 IDFA teams will compete in the Highland Amateur Cup with the draw set to be made later this month.
The competition is played with amateur teams from across the Highlands competing.
