Ross County's B team will face League Two outfit Stirling Albion at home in the first round of the SPFL Trust Trophy.

The Staggies were unseeded for the tie, and should they win, a trip Montrose awaits in the second round.

First round ties are scheduled for August 10/11, while the second round will take place the following month on the weekend of September 4/5.

The Challenge Cup, which has had many previous names for sponsorship reasons, is regionalised and seeded for the opening two rounds, before becoming an open draw from the third round onwards.

This year, the competition will be bracketed from the third round too, allowing teams and supporters to plot their potential route to the final.

Ross County lifted the trophy in 2019 in a season where they also won the Championship, and as such they have entered a B team since.
