STAGGIES fans keen to roar their favourites on in the first Highland derby in SPL history are being urged to snap up newly released tickets.

Ross County make the short journey to the Tulloch Caledonian Stadium in Inverness on Friday, October 5 for one of the most eagerly anticipated matches of the season.

While SPL debutants Ross County are currently sitting well above their Inverness rivals in the league, the match represents the season’s first opportunity to grab local “bragging rights”.

The Dingwall-based club – currently on a remarkable 40-game unbeaten run in league football – today confirmed it has received a fresh allocation of tickets for the (Away) Soutyh Stand for the tie.

General manager Ranald Gilbert said: “There’s been a great response from our fans – I think we’re all excited as not only is it the first Highland Derby for a couple of seasons, but as the first one in the SPL this one will be a piece of history with two local rivals who entered the SFL less than 20 years ago meeting in the top flight.

“I think you always get a special atmosphere at matches under the floodlights and with the game now being on the Friday night and local bragging rights at stake I’m sure the South Stand will be bouncing for it!”

Tickets are priced at £21 for adults, £16 for concessions (65 & over, under 16 and 16– 25 with proof of age) and £10 for under 12s and can be purchased during normal office hours either in person at the main reception at the Global Energy Stadium or by telephoning 01349 860860. They’re also available 24 hours a day online via the club’s website.

Tickets will be on sale after Saturday’s home match against St Johnstone and will remain available until they sell out.
