Ross County have confirmed that goalkeeper Ross Munro has left the club.

The 23-year-old has signed a permanent deal with League of Ireland outfit Dundalk, where he will link up once again with former Staggies defender Andy Boyle.

Munro has been part of the Staggies set-up since 2014, featuring in the Development League winning side of 2017 before stepping into the first team picture during the 2018/19 season.

Then, he played in every round of County's triumphant Challenge Cup campaign, and in the same season lifted the Scottish Championship and the North of Scotland Cup.

To gain more match experience, he spent time out on loan at Brora Rangers, Annan Athletic, Cowdenbeath and Raith Rovers.

This season, he had made three first team appearances – all in the League Cup group stage – but lost his place as number two to Ross Laidlaw with the arrival of George Wickens on loan from Fulham.
