ST Duthus manager Alan Geegan says his front three of Ben Bruce, Jake Lockett and Finn As-Chainey are among the best in the North Caledonian League.

All three players scored last weekend as the Tain outfit won 4–3 at Halkirk United.

Saints have the joint second highest goalscoring record in the league, tied with Halkirk United at 31 with Golspie Sutherland banging in 42 goals this season.

While results have been hit and miss this season, Geegan says the danger they pose up front has been evident due to those three players.

“I have said from the start of the season about these players, that on their day there is not a better front three in the league,” says Geegan.

“Ben Bruce is probably the most marked man in the North Caledonian League.

“He can be quite critical of himself in games, but that is up to Finn and Jake to step up to the plate when he is maybe marked by two players closely.

“But they certainly did their part at Halkirk last weekend.”

St Duthus face Bonar Bridge in Tain tomorrow at 1pm as they look to gain revenge after losing 3–2 at Midgale in September.

“I am expecting it to be a hard game, as they beat us at their place earlier this season,” said Geegan.

“We will be looking to right that wrong, but if you look at Bonar’s results, they have got points against some of the better teams in the league.

“They are capable of hurting you if you are not at your best and it will be another test for us when we face them this weekend.”

Elsewhere, Invergordon will look to keep up the chase on league leaders Loch Ness, when they face Golspie Sutherland and Recreation Park tomorrow at 1pm.

Alness United face Orkney in an early 12:45pm kick off at Dalmore Park.

Loch Ness are set to face Inverness Athletic and Nairn County A take on Halkirk United.
