Greg Lobban and Alan Clyne had their Commonwealth Games selections confirmed this week.

Ross-shire duo Greg Lobban and Alan Clyne have reached the quarter finals of the squash men's doubles at the Commonwealth Games.

They breezed through their pool matches, with 2-0 wins over Zambia and Guyana.

And this morning they secured another 2-0 win in the first knockout round, this time over the Trinidad and Tobago pair of Patrick Mandela and Kale Wilson of Trinidad and Tobago 11-2, 11-5 in just 13 minutes.

They are scheduled to play their quarter final tomorrow at noon (UK time), against the only unseeded duo left in the draw: Malaysia's Mohammad Syafiq Kamal and Eain Yow NG.

In stark contrast to Lobban and Clyne's 13 minute match, it took Kamal and NG 76 minutes to defeat their Malaysian compatriots in the last round.
