Ross County are still planning to have Yan Dhanda at their disposal for the rest of the 2023/24 season, despite reports that the midfielder has signed a pre-contract agreement with Hearts.

The 25-year-old has been a key player for the Staggies practically since day one in Dingwall, having been brought to the club on a free transfer by Malky Mackay in the summer of 2022.

However, such has been the level of Dhanda's displays for the Staggies that speculation over his long-term future has rarely subsided.

Now, with it being reported Dhanda has agreed to move to Tynecastle in the summer, that speculation will only intensify that a move will be completed before the window closes on Thursday.

County chief executive Steven Ferguson, however, insists it will take something special to see Dhanda leave imminently.

"As things stand, Yan is still a Ross County player and will be for the remainder of the season unless a spectacular offer comes in," he said.

"We have not received any transfer offers for the player this month.

"Any pre-contract agreement is between the player and the interested club."
