Social Club keep pressure on Tain Thistle with nine goal win

Invergordon Social Club did their bit to keep the pressure up on North West Sutherland League 2 leaders Tain Thistle with a 9–2 win over Brora Wanderers on Saturday.
It is the second time the Easter Ross side have put nine goals past their Sutherland counterparts this season.
Drew Sutherland, Bruce Urquhart and Scott Maciver each notched a brace during the match, with the other three goals coming from Ryan Mcfee, Callum Murray and Fraser Macleod.
The win moves Social Club to within four points of Tain Thistle, with a game in hand. Their chance of winning this year's League 2 trophy and clinching promotion now hinges on the Jags slipping up in their final league game at home to Melvich.
In the only League 1 match of the weekend, recently crowned champions Golspie Stafford beat Lochbroom 5–2.
Post-match, the Sutherland side were presented with the North West Sutherland AFA trophy.

All games are due to kick off at 3pm.
