Alan Sinclair hopes he can use the inspiration of rowing in front of Scottish fans to help his crew win gold at the European Championships in Glasgow.

The Munlochy athlete has retained his place in the Great Britain eight-man crew which will compete at the competition which is starting on Thursday.

The 32-year-old is the only Scotsman in the crew and says he is looking forward to the challenge of becoming a European champion in front of a home crowd.
