SHINTY: Scotland to play Ireland as international match returns after four years

Scotland will take on Ireland as the shinty/hurling international match is set to return for the first time in four years.
The clash will take place at Páirc Esler, Newry on Saturday, October 21.
Caberfeidh manager Garry Reid has retained his role as Scotland manager and will select a squad to travel to Newry in the coming days and will do so in consultation with a number of managers across the sport.
The Scotland squad will be named on Monday, September 25 with a training session to take place at the start of October.
President of the Camanachd Association Steven MacKenzie said the match will mark a momentous occasion for players and fans alike, reigniting the spirit of friendly competition and sporting excellence.
He said: We are thrilled to bring back the MOWI Shinty/Hurling International match after the break, and we can't wait to witness the exciting rivalry between Scotland and Ireland once again.
