SHINTY: Teams find out who they will face in Camanachd Cup semi final

The draw has been made for the Camanachd Cup semi finals which will take place in August.

Holders Kingussie will face Wester Ross outfit Kinlochshiel with the winners of the quarter final between Kyles Athletic and Lovat taking on Oban Camanachd in the last four.

The semi finals will take place on Saturday, August 5 and Saturday, August 12.

The quarter final clash between Kyles Athletic and Lovat was postponed due to a bereavement and has been rearranged for Saturday.

Kinlochshiel beat Beauly 2-1 in the quarter final clash at Braeview on Saturday.

After a goalless first half, the Wester Ross outfit took the lead on the hour mark when Donald Nixon found the net.

Archie MacRae then doubled Kinlochshiel’s advantage with 17 minutes remaining.

David Maclean pulled one back for Beauly in injury time, but left it too late to mount any decent sort of fightback.

Caberfeidh have ben knocked out of the competition after a 3-1 defeat to holders Kingussie in Strathpeffer.

James Falconer gave the visitors the lead after seven minutes, but Scott MacPhail levelled the game in the 33rd minute.

The game remained tied at 1-1 until the final 10 minutes when Falconer scored to regain the lead for Kingussie.

Savio Genini then killed the game off with five minutes remaining to send Kingussie through.

Oban Camanachd are through to the semi finals with a 3-2 win over Glasgow Mid-Argyll after a five goal thriller in Yoker.

In the Premiership, Skye recorded a shock 2-1 win over Newtonmore.

In the National Division, Glenurquhart have moved top by one point after winning 4-1 at Col Glen with previous leaders Lochaber losing 5-0 at Fort William.

Ryan Porter scored a hat-trick with Daniel Maclean also scoring for Glenurquhart.

Inveraray defeated Kilmallie 2-1 with the match between Oban Celtic and Strathglass postponed due to a football tournament using the venue.

In North One, Glengarry lost 4-3 at home to Lovat, Beauly beat Glenurquhart 4-1. In North Two, Boleskine beat Lochaber 5-4 and Inverness won 3-2 at Kilmallie.
