Ewan Gliniecki is more than worthy of his Scotland call-up for the Great Britain Three Nations, according to his coach Liam Foy.
The Alness fighter has won two Scottish Open championships, a Hull Box Cup title and a Northern District Open championship since debuting two years ago.
He has also been attending national training camps with the aim of representing his country.
So Highland Boxing Academy head coach Foy says Gliniecki’s record – and the level of opponents he has beaten – fully justifies his inclusion for the Three Nations.
“Ewan has had 25 bouts since he started in 2017, and he has had 21 wins and four losses,” Foy recalled.
“That’s just a phenomenal record for a young lad – and bear in mind that Ewan with his kickboxing experience, has boxed at open class from the first day – he hasn’t boxed at novice or intermediate level."
