Ruthless Maryburgh win every game to be crowned Inverness and District Premiership champions

MARYBURGH have been crowned Inverness and District Premiership champions after winning 4-0 at bottom of the table Conon Bridge on Monday night.

In a dominant campaign, Maryburgh have won all 14 league matches this season and will look to win their final two league games.

The club are still on for success in the Association Cup after they defeated Avoch 3-1 in their quarter final clash on Wednesday night.

Avoch were 1-0 up at half time, but Maryburgh stormed back with three goals in the second half to book their place in the semi final.

Clachnacuddin Reserves are also in the semi finals after they defeated Ardersier 4-3.

Elsewhere in the Premiership, Black Rock Rovers have moved off the bottom of the table after a 7-3 win over Black Isle United at Culbokie.

Black Rock are one point above Conon Bridge but have played two games more with only two games left.

Ardersier defeated Clachnacuddin Reserves 2-0 and Loch Ness beat Inverness Athletic 4-1.

In the First Division, Culloden Blacksmiths have moved two points clear at the top with a 4-0 victory over Highland at Bught Park on Tuesday night.

Hospice dropped off top spot after they suffered a 3-0 defeat to Tomatin.

Ferrybache saw off Ness City 4-3 in a seven-goal thriller at Bught Park with Fortrose and Rosemarkie Union losing 7-2 toTomatin United.

Gellions ran riot as they thrashed Gilham Flooring NT 8-2.

In the Second Division, Drakies are five points clear at the top as they hammered Contin 10-3.

G16 kept their title hopes alive with a 4-1 win over Muir of Ord.

Auctioneers proved too good for Glenurquhart as they ran out 4-1 winners.

Hill Rovers claimed three points with a 5-2 win over Stratton with Slackbuie and CK Interiors sharing the points in a 1-1 draw.
