Ross Sutherland run in 10-try victory against Aberdeen Grammar 2nd XV

Ross Sutherland remain undefeated at home this season in Caledonia North Two as they ran riot against Aberdeen Grammar 2nd’s XV with a 66-5 win at the Naval Grounds in Invergordon.

Ross Sutherland took a 7-0 lead early in the match when Finn Rose Bristow gave the Stags an early try which was converted by John Mann, despite the kick off being slightly delayed.

Dean Morrison then grabbed Ross Sutherland’s second try of the day with John Mann also converting.

Mann then grabbed a try of his own which he also successfully converted to extend their lead to 21 points.

Rose Bristow then completed his hat-trick of tries to give Ross Sutherland a 33-5 lead at half time.

Ross Sutherland started the second half brightly with Ally Kennedy getting on the scoresheet.

Ed Birch then got on the scoresheet as did Alex Johnstone with Morrison grabbing the final try to complete the rout and a 10-try victory.

Ross Sutherland picked up their third win of the season and maintain their 100 per record at home to put them in sixth place in Caledonia North Two in the 10 team division.

They are 16 points behind league leaders Moray on 30 points.

They stayed top of the table after edging Gordonians 2nd XV 29-28.

Highland 2nd XV stay in second place after a 20-15 victory over RAF Lossiemouth.

Mackie FP saw off North Police Scotland when they won 43-35 in a thriller in Stonehaven last weekend.

Shetland also continued their good form when they defeated Banff 69-12.

Only one match is scheduled to take place this weekend as Aberdeen Grammar 2nd take on Highland 2nd XV.

Ross Sutherland are not playing this weekend as they are scheduled to return to action on Saturday, November 5 when they will face Shetland at The Naval Grounds Invergordon.
