Alan Clyne and Greg Lobban's dream of winning a Commonwealth Games medal ended in disappointment when they lost their bronze medal match in the squash doubles.

The former world doubles champions lost in straight sets 11-9, 11-9 to England's Declan James and James Willstrop in 58 minutes.

The Black Isle duo lost their semi final 24 hours earlier to Zac Alexander and David Palmer of Australia who claimed gold with 2-1 victory over England's Daryl Selby and Adrian Waller.
