Ross County to take part in competition for first time in five years

Ross County will compete in the North of Scotland Cup for the first time in five years.

Ross County have been drawn away to Wick Academy in the first round of the competition.

The quarter final will take place on Wednesday, August 30.

Ross County last took part in the North of Scotland Cup in 2018 when they won the competition beating Inverness Caledonian Thistle 3-2.

There are first-round byes for Clachnacuddin, Golspie Sutherland, Inverness Caledonian Thistle and Rothes.

Clachnacuddin will travel to the winners of Brora Rangers and Fort William in the quarter final with Nairn County to face Lossiemouth in the first round.

Full draw – Round one (August 30): Brora Rangers v Fort William; Forres Mechanics v Strathspey Thistle; Nairn County v Lossiemouth; Wick Academy v Ross County.

Round two (September 13): Brora Rangers or Fort William v Clachnacuddin; Forres Mechanics or Strathspey Thistle v Nairn County or Lossiemouth; Inverness Caledonian Thistle v Rothes; Wick Academy or Ross County v Golspie.

Semi-finals (October 18): Inverness Caledonian Thistle / Rothes v Forres Mechanics / Strathspey Thistle / Nairn / Lossiemouth; Wick Academy / Ross County / Golspie v Brora Rangers / Fort William / Clachnacuddin.
