Ross County defender Dylan Smith was appointed captain of Scotland Under-19 as he led them to a 2-2 draw against Czechia.

The 17-year-old former Culloden Academy pupil was given the armband in the friendly which took place in Hasselt in Belgium.

Smith broke into the Ross County first team last season when he made his debut against Rangers at Ibrox in November 2022.

He made three appearances from the bench in four of Ross County's matches in the Premiership this season and also played in two League Cup matches.

Smith was also a substitute in Scotland Under-19's 1-0 defeat to Belgium earlier this week.
