Ross County teenager Dylan Smith has been called up to the Scotland Under-17 squad to compete in the UEFA Qualifying Round in Malta.

The 16-year-old defender recently graduated from the Ross County Academy and made his Premiership debut at Ibrox against Rangers on Saturday, August 27.

Scotland begin their campaign against hosts Malta on Wednesday, October 19, before taking on Northern Ireland three days later, on Saturday, October 22.

The campaign concludes with a match against Czech Republic on Tuesday, October 25.
