STRIKER Billy Mckay admits there is nowhere to hide for Ross County when they take on Hamilton Academical in the bottom-of-the table clash tomorrow.

The Staggies are at the rear end of the Premiership, one point behind Hamilton Academical, and require victory if they want to move off the foot of the table this weekend.

Ross County haven’t won in the Premiership since a 1-0 victory against St Johnstone back in September, as pressure is growing on manager Stuart Kettlewell and his side.

Mckay says his team can’t hide away from the fact that they are staring at relegation to the Championship next season, and knows improvement is required.

“There is no hiding away from it, and we need to be up for it,” said McKay.

“I don’t know if it is a must win, but it is a massive game, we don’t want to be where we are.

“We feel that one result could change it, and kick us on a run.

“We work hard for each other, and we will look for that one win that will kick things off for us.”

Ross County went out of the League Cup at the quarter final stage, after losing 2-0 at Livingston on Wednesday night.

The Staggies found themselves two goals down after 24 minutes at the Tony Macaroni Arena.

But Mckay said the response from Ross County to try and get their way back into the match, showed there is a fighting spirit in the team.

“It feels like everything is going against us,” he said.

“But we’re a good bunch, we stick together and we go again on Saturday.

“There is a confidence in the team, and you could see that at 2-0 down.

“We were the ones pressing and creating chances, but that key moment didn’t go for us.

“Injuries are going against us, and we are replacing players during matches.

“But we have players that are coming back, so we have a good squad, we need to keep them fit.”
