Ross County place players on furlough leave amid coronavirus pandemic but will pay contracts in full

PLAYERS at Ross County have been placed on furlough leave, but the club will ensure the squad's wages are paid in full.

The Dingwall outfit are the latest outfit to announce cost cutting measures due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Ross County have implemented the Government's job retention scheme which pays 80 per cent of wages of up to £2500 a month.

The club will pay out the remaining wages which have not been covered by the government retention scheme.

The Scottish FA have previously stated no football will take place at any level until at least April 30.

Ross County were in 10th place in the Premiership at the time the football season was suspended.
