Ross County's gap between them and the rest of the Premiership has been reduced to one point as Kilmarnock and St Mirren are appealing being imposed with 3-0 defeats due to breaking Covid-19 protocol.

St Mirren and Kilmarnock were found guilty of breaking coronavirus restrictions at a SPFL hearing in December which included breaking social distance rules on buses and during meals.

St Mirren were also guilty of players car sharing travelling to and from training sessions.

Motherwell were given 3-0 wins over both, with Hamilton Academical given the same scoreline against St Mirren due to matches having to be called off as a result of breaking covid-19 regulations.

But Kilmarnock and St Mirren have appealed the decision with a hearing set to be held on January 14.

It means Ross County are now only one point off Hamilton Academical in 11th and victory over St Mirren in Dingwall could move them off bottom.

Motherwell drop to 10th due to the results being suspended.
