Ross County goalkeeper George Wickens broke the record for the most saves in a single match in the Scottish Premiership era against Rangers on Wednesday night.

The 22-year-old goalkeeper, who is on loan from English Premiership club Fulham, made 19 saves in the 3-1 defeat at Ibrox.

Wickens joined Ross County during the January transfer window and spent the 2021/22 season at Wealdstone in England's National League.

There, the 6'5 shot-stopper kept 12 clean sheets and won both the players' player of the season award and the Stuart Pearce Shield for Junior Stones' player of the season as well.

In his academy days at Craven Cottage, Wickens represented England at under-18 level, and last summer was linked with moves to Premier League outfits Nottingham Forest and Luton Town as well as Championship side Southampton.
