Ross County have confirmed that three more players have left the club as their contracts expire this summer.

Alex Iacovitti had already announced his exit from Dingwall, and the Staggies will need to recruit in defence this summer as club captain Keith Watson will follow him out the door.

Watson had been County's longest serving player, joining them in 2018 and helping them back into the top flight by winning the Championship in his first season at the club.

Through the club's website, Watson commented: "Unfortunately, my time at county has come to an end, what a five years it’s been.

"From winning the championship to a dramatic play off win to stay in the Premiership – where County belong.

"That last playoff game was one of the craziest games I’ve ever played in and the belief and never say die attitude from lads was incredible, it was a pleasure playing along side you all.

"A big thank you to the fans and everyone at the club for the past five years and I wish Ross county nothing but success in the future."

Joining Watson in departing the club are David Cancola and Dominic Samuel.

Cancola was first tipped to join the Staggies in January 2021 when John Hughes was in charge, but after visa delays he eventually made the move to the Highlands that summer when Malky Mackay was appointed.

The Austrian midfielder would play 55 times for County, scoring three goals.

English forward Samuel, meanwhile, joined that same summer from Gillingham, making 46 appearances across all competitions and scoring two goals. His last appearance came against Aberdeen in the first match of 2023.
