SPL newcomers Ross County have strengthened their squad four games into their top flight debut.

The Dingwall side has signed goalkeeper Mark Brown on a short-term deal due to run until January.

The 31-year old stopper caught the eye of County boss Derek Adams who is looking to consolidate as the Staggies aim to maintain a remarkable 38-game unbeaten record in league football.

Brown spent last year at Hibernian, playing in the Scottish Cup final, and also has SPL experience from spells at Motherwell, Inverness Caledonian Thistle and Celtic.

Manager Derek Adams said: “Mark is a talented and experienced player which is what we need at this stage. Michael Fraser has had a superb start to the season with three clean sheets already, but there is no doubt it was an area we needed to strengthen.

"Goalkeeper is such a crucial position in the team that attracting the right individuals with top level experience is always a challenge and I am therefore delighted that we’ve been able to secure Mark’s services.”
