FORMER Ross County striker Ross Stewart has been linked with a move to English Premiership clubs Brentford and Crystal Palace after a great season with Sunderland in the Championship.

It has been reported in the English media both clubs have made enquiries about the 26-year-old who has scored eight goals in 10 Championship matches.

He has also scored in Sunderland's last four matches, including in the 1-1 draw against Blackpool earlier today.

Stewart has missed 15 matches this season due to a thigh injury, but his goals have helped fire Sunderland to sixth place and in a play-off contention for the English Premiership.

But it has also been reported Stewart has turned down a new contract at Sunderland, believed to be a £10,000 a week deal as he is looking elsewhere.

Stewart arrived at Ross County in 2018 as he helped them win promotion back to the Premiership as well as win what is now known as the Trust Trophy.

Stewart scored 28 goals in 81 games for County before the big move to Sunderland in 2021.
