Alness United under-18s further strengthened their position at the top of the Highland League table with a thumping 9–0 win over Buckie Thistle on Sunday.

Dylan Grainger opened the scoring in the 12th minute and just 60 seconds later Finlay Macdonald made it 2–0.

A goal from Arron Skinner further piled on the misery before Arran Thain netted a hat-trick to continue his good form this season.

In the second half, goals from Cameron Grant, Roy Lyon and a penalty from Reece Wilson completed the scoring.

The win leaves the Easter Ross side nine points clear of nearest rivals Inverness Athletic, who have two games in hand over the league leaders.

Clachnacuddin picked up six points in just three days after playing two games back-to-back this past weekend.

On Friday night, they made easy work of rivals Nairn County with a 6–0 win. Rory Mackinnon led the way with two goals in the first half, and three more from Shaun Golden, Donald Mackenzie and Kian Macleod. A second half penalty from Oliver Brown rounded off the scoring.

Then on Sunday, the Lilywhites took care of visitors Keith in a 4–2 win. Mackinnon was at the double again, scoring in the sixth minute before Golden made it 2–0 three minutes later.

Dylan Robertson pulled a goal back for the Maroons, but a second from Mackinnon followed almost straight after.

Keith reduced the deficit further in the second half through Nathan Scott, but a fourth and decisive strike from Connor Cornish made sure of the win.

In other games, Lossiemouth beat Wick Academy 4–1 and Inverness Athletic fell by 3 goals to 2 at Forres.
