A red card added insult to injury as Ross County failed to cope with Celtic’s attacking threat.

Celtic went in front through a Moussa Dembele penalty, after Scott Sinclair’s change of direction led to Jason Naismith taking him down inside the area.

Then came the sending off. Billy McKay tracked Scott Brown back into the County half and took him down from behind, but after Brown had fallen to the deck Andrew Davies came rushing in with a horror stamp on the Celtic captain, earning a well deserved early bath.

And to make matters worse, Aaron McCarey aggravated a back issue he picked up on international duty just before half time, forcing a change of keeper for the visitors.

But things went from bad to worse, as a couple of minutes after the break Stuart Armstrong found some space on the edge of the box and picked out the bottom corner.

And Celtic would soon make it three, as Tom Rogic carved out a one on one opportunity on the hour mark and cooly slotted past Scott Fox to give Celtic a 3-0 win.
