Steven Ferguson insists Hibernian’s troubles have not even flickered on his radar as he plots a giant-killing act in Edinburgh.
The Ross County co-manager is aware this weekend’s foes have gone 10 games without a win while throwing away leads and struggling to score.
But none of it has even entered Ferguson or Stuart Kettlewell’s thinking during the week as they look to rebound following a calamitous 6-0 beating at Celtic Park.
No matter the scale of Paul Heckingbottom’s current challenge, County’s management view tomorrow’s test as another massive test of mettle.
Ferguson, asked about Hibernian’s woes, said: “That’s what the statistics will tell you and that’s what people will say, but we don’t look too much into other people’s problems.
“We have enough of our own to deal with every week!
“We understand Hibs definitely haven’t had the start they would have wanted.
“But we still recognise them as one of the biggest clubs in the country, with some of the best players in the country.
“We need to make sure we don’t underestimate it, which we don’t. It isn’t part of our thinking and I don’t think it can be.
“People look for whatever advantage they can get, but stats and form guides can be turned any way you like sometimes.”
