Ord Arms pull off shock win in Dingwall and District Pool League

ORD Arms Hotel shocked Dingwall and District Pool League leaders Oscars Bar C for the second time this season with 6-4 win win on Monday night.

Andrew Gollan wrapped up the points for the Tarradale team who cut the C team's lead at the top to five points.

Challengers Novar Arms Hotel A won by the same scoreline against Royal Hotel, Cromarty. Charlie Cassidy potted the match winner in this one.

Oscars Bar A joined Novar A and Ord Arms in joint-second spot after a clinical 7-3 victory over Cromarty Arms.

The A team dropped just the one frame in the first half before Neil Bentley made sure of the points when he won the penultimate frame.

Hen House kept in touch with the chasing pack with an equally emphatic 7-3 win against Novar Arms Hotel B.

Peter Hogg sank the match winner in the eighth frame, while team-mate Martin Shaw registered an eight ball clearance in the opening frame.

In the other match, Dingwall 147 B defeated their own A team 6-4.

DINGWALL B team reached the quarter-finals of the Super 11s at Kirkcaldy

at the weekend.

The B team finished third in their group with wins against Bannockburn,

East Ayrshire and Dunfermline before going out to Levenmouth in the last

eight.
