However, he is believed to still be a Nairn County player, as he was not in the list of released players from the Highland League club which was revealed last week.

The Irishman has signed for the Ross-shire outfit and scored twice in his first game for the club in the 5-2 victory against Conon Bridge on Monday night.

Gethins (39) hit a milestone last season, when he became only the second player in the club's history to score 200 goals.

Last month, in an interview with the Inverness Courier, Gethins says he has been asked to re-sign at Nairn, but he wanted to take time to consider his options.
