Ross County goalkeeper Ross Munro has left the club to join Raith Rovers on a loan deal until January.

The 19-year-old shot stopper broke into the Staggies first team last season, playing every match in the club's triumphant Irn-Bru Cup run and making his league debut against Falkirk on the final day of last season.

He is highly rated by the County coaching staff, and was included in a Scotland under-21 squad for the first time last November.

Co-managers Steven Ferguson and Stuart Kettlewell had previously spoken about their intention to loan Munro out in an effort to get him more minutes on the pitch.

As a result, when Scott Fox left the club earlier this summer they needed to sign two new goalkeepers – which they have now done in the form of Ross Laidlaw from Hibernian and Nathan Baxter on loan from Chelsea.

So Munro's move to League One outfit Raith Rovers can now be sanctioned, with The Rovers aiming for promotion after reaching the play-offs last season.
