Ross Munro has become the last man to sign a new one-year contract at Ross County.

Earlier today the Staggies confirmed that Matthew Wright, Adam MacKinnon and Logan Ross has all put pen to paper on new deals, and now Munro has followed suit.

The 21-year-old stopper is highly rated in Dingwall, despite not featuring for the club since the 2018/19 season when he started five matches on the way to claiming a Challenge Cup winners' medal, also featuring in a league defeat to Falkirk as the Staggies were crowned Championship winners.

The following season he spent the campaign on loan at Raith Rovers, with the Kirkcaldy outfit earning promotion from League One to the second tier in a season that was cut short by the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Last season he spent short-term emergency loans at Cowdenbeath and Annan Athletic, while in 2021/22 he has provided cover at various stages for Ross Laidlaw and Ashley Maynard-Brewer.

County boss Malky Mackay has praised his professionalism in the past, and on Munro signing his extension said: “Ross is a really impressive young man. He conducts himself brilliantly and is highly regarded amongst our coaching team here at Ross County.

“Ross has worked with Scott Thomson, our goalkeeping coach, now for over six years and is continuing to develop and learn with each passing day.

"We now look forward to pushing his development further in the coming weeks and months.”
